Job Summary and Qualifications
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
The AVP’s primary goal is to enhance continuity of care within the HCA network through the following channels: Emergency Room, Operating Room, Physician Clinics, Urgent Care, Imaging Centers, Telehealth.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Lead the Division Network Optimization Core Team/Sub-Committee
Lead monthly Network Optimization update during Division Growth & Operations Committee
Manage Opt-in referral program and process in collaboration with Medical Staff Office, PPR and Division/Facility leadership
Master tools and reports to drive and measure performance
Maintain, onboard, educate and support Facility Network Optimization champions to drive performance.
Develop and operationalize programs to enhance continuity of care from ER and Urgent Care Clinics.
Develop & drive Point-of-Care Scheduling programs including ER Discharge Coordinator dotted line reporting relationship, spending time onsite at all ERs to help drive performance and continuity of care.
Develop strong relationships with ER & Urgent Care leadership.
Collaborate with Division Performance Improvement team to support ER & OR operations
Collaborate with Transfer Center and Hospital leadership to enhance continuity of care when transfer from one facility to another is requested
Collaborate with Physician Services Group to ensure continuity of care with between providers across the outpatient network
Collaborate with Rehab leadership to increase continuity of care for patients with Inpatient Rehab needs.
Collaborate with Navigation and Hospital leadership to drive efficient and high-quality navigation.
Assess Telehealth programs to identify opportunities to connect programs across the network.
Solidify Facility micro-networks in collaboration with Facility leadership to drive and measure performance.
Support new access point construction and launch planning to ensure successful go-lives and integration into the HCA network.
Partner with key stakeholders (e.g., PPR, PSG, IT, CRM, Urgent Care, etc.) to drive and measure performance.
Partner with Division Service Line & Program Development leaders to advance network capabilities and ensure continuity of care.
Partner with Corporate/Division DSS/Analytics to develop and enhance analytics to drive performance.
Partner with Division strategic planning leadership to ensure network optimization and integrity initiatives are incorporated into annual strategic planning, division business plan, and mid-year updates.
Partner with Division & Hospital leadership to ensure access point strategy aligns with network optimization efforts and insights.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Strong business acumen and awareness of market dynamics and competitor activities.
Understanding of industry trends, growth insights, and growth forecasts.
Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory environment.
Effectively demonstrates collaboration with multidisciplinary stakeholders.
Demonstrates ability to facilitate large groups at various organizational levels for purposes of planning, problem solving, or strategy development.
Strong analytics skills and experience with different tools and reporting platforms.
Highly proficient with PowerBI, QlikSense, Excel, and other Business Intelligence tools / organizations (i.e., Advisory Board).
Ability to present information in concise, effective manner, especially in PowerPoint.
Demonstrated leadership competency in understanding stakeholder needs and managing expectations.
Takes prompt and proactive steps to achieve objectives.
Comfort with and experience working in a matrixed environment.
