Job Summary and Qualifications

​The Infection Preventionist promotes and delivers high quality, patient-centered care by assisting with the administration of Infection Prevention policies, procedures and programs. As a memberof the Infection Prevention program and team, the Infection Preventionist identifies, investigates, reports, and monitors the incidence of nosocomial infections among patients and personnel,and implements policies and procedures to prevent cross-contamination. The Infection Preventionist is also responsible for assisting within service programs related to infection prevention and infection control,and with the clinical aspects of the Employee Health Program, including pre-employment processing, occupational health testing and surveillance.

What qualifications you will need:

• ​Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma OR 
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing or health-related field, required 
• ​1+years experiencein a clinical setting, preferred  
• ​1+years experiencein Infection Control, preferred 
• 1+years experiencein a leadership role, preferred 
• ​CBICcertification within two years of hire
