In this key role, you’ll guide a 24/7 operation across three rotating shifts, driving smooth, safe and efficient dispatch and outbound performance—day in, day out.

What your week will look like as an Operations Manager
• Lead daily operations within your rotational shift, ensuring safe, compliant and reliable execution of dispatch and related activities
• Steer performance through KPIs and data insights, reviewing results, identifying root causes and driving corrective and preventive actions
• Drive LEAN, continuous improvement and process standardization, ensuring scalable and consistent operational execution across all areas
• Coach and develop Warehouse Managers and their teams, including training, performance management and succession planning
• Plan and allocate staffing, workload and resources across shifts while maintaining strong collaboration with internal departments and the customer
• Ensure a safe, inclusive and engaging work environment, maintain accurate documentation and procedures, and contribute to GXO’s environmental and sustainability goals
• You regularly meet and align with the Head of Operations, to whom you directly report, ensuring clarity on strategic priorities, performance expectations and operational execution

What we are looking for
• A bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, engineering or business, supported by strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• At least 5 years of experience in a complex, high-volume supply chain or warehousing environment, preferably with exposure to automation and multidimensional operations
• Proven leadership experience, including coaching, developing and managing large teams (50+), and the ability to influence effectively across all levels
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English (French, German or Spanish are an advantage), with the ability to build relationships and collaborate in an international environment
• A proactive, resilient and results-driven mindset, able to perform under pressure while maintaining a high standard of quality and professionalism
• Strong analytical, financial and reporting skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable decisions and drive continuous improvement
• Broad technical and process understanding, combined with a willingness to keep developing yourself and deliver high-quality service to internal and external customers

In deze rol help je de 24/7-operatie aan te sturen over drie roulerende diensten en speel je een cruciale rol in het waarborgen dat onze dispatch- en outboundprocessen elke dag soepel, veilig en efficiënt verlopen.

Hoe je week eruitziet als Operations Manager
- Leid de dagelijkse operatie binnen jouw roulerende dienst en zorg voor een veilige, betrouwbare en conforme uitvoering van de dispatch- en aanverwante activiteiten.
- Stuur de prestaties aan op basis van KPI’s en data-analyse; evalueer resultaten, achterhaal oorzaken en stuur bij met corrigerende en preventieve maatregelen.
- Stimuleer LEAN, continue verbetering en processtandaardisatie om een schaalbare en consistente uitvoering in alle operationele onderdelen te waarborgen.
- Coach en ontwikkel Warehouse Managers en hun teams, inclusief training, performance management en opvolgingsplanning.
- Plan en verdeel personeel, werkbelasting en middelen over de verschillende diensten, en onderhoud een sterke samenwerking met interne afdelingen en de klant.
- Zorg voor een veilige, inclusieve en betrokken werkomgeving, houd procedures en documentatie actueel en draag bij aan de duurzaamheidsdoelen van GXO.
- Je hebt regelmatig overleg met de Head of Operations, aan wie je direct rapporteert, om strategische prioriteiten, prestatieverwachtingen en operationele uitvoering goed op elkaar af te stemmen.

Waar wij naar op zoek zijn
- Een afgeronde bacheloropleiding (met voorkeur) in logistiek, supply chain, techniek of bedrijfskunde, ondersteund door sterke analytische en probleemoplossende vaardigheden.
- Minimaal 5 jaar ervaring in een complexe, grootschalige supply chain- of warehouseomgeving, bij voorkeur met ervaring in automatisering en multidimensionale operaties.
- Aantoonbare leidinggevende ervaring, inclusief het coachen, ontwikkelen en aansturen van grote teams (50+), en het vermogen om op alle niveaus effectief invloed uit te oefenen.
- Uitstekende communicatieve vaardigheden in het Nederlands en Engels (Frans, Duits of Spaans is een pré), met het vermogen om relaties op te bouwen en samen te werken in een internationale omgeving.
- Een proactieve, veerkrachtige en resultaatgerichte instelling, in staat om te presteren onder druk en daarbij hoge kwaliteit en professionaliteit te behouden.
- Sterke analytische, financiële en rapportagevaardigheden, met het vermogen om data te vertalen naar concrete acties en verbeterinitiatieven te stimuleren.
- Breed technisch en procesmatig inzicht, gecombineerd met de bereidheid om jezelf continu te ontwikkelen en hoogwaardige service te leveren aan zowel interne als externe klanten.
