Clinical Field Recruiter
Location: Elmsford, NY
Reports To: Recruitment Manager
Travel: Mileage reimbursement and approved travel expenses
Job Description:
The Clinical Field Recruiter will serve as a front-line ambassador for the organization within the nursing community. This role focuses on in-person recruiting, networking, and outreach to ensure a steady flow of qualified nursing candidates. The recruiter will actively promote job opportunities, screen candidates, guide them through the hiring process, and partner with internal teams to ensure successful onboarding.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct daily in-person recruiting activities throughout NYC, Westchester, Nassau, Suffolk, and Staten Island
Visit nursing schools, training programs, hospitals, clinics, and healthcare facilities to build ongoing referral pipelines
Attend job fairs, community events, healthcare expos, and professional networking events to generate leads
Establish and maintain relationships with instructors, career counselors, and program directors
Engage nurses directly through one-on-one conversations, presentations, and outreach events
Promote the organization’s brand, culture, and career opportunities in a compelling and professional manner
Identify and pre-screen nurses for licensure, experience, specialty, availability, and geographic coverage
Educate candidates on job expectations, pay, scheduling, onboarding requirements, and compliance standards
Collect and verify candidate documentation including licenses, certifications, and contact information
Enter and maintain candidate data accurately in the applicant tracking and onboarding systems
Schedule interviews and assist with coordinating hiring steps between candidates and internal teams
Provide consistent follow-up with candidates to keep them engaged and moving through the hiring process
Support candidates through onboarding, background checks, credentialing, and compliance steps
Track recruiting activity, leads, and hiring results to ensure performance goals are met
Identify trends, challenges, and opportunities in the local nursing market
Develop creative strategies to reach hard-to-find nurse populations
Work closely with operations and scheduling teams to understand hiring needs and prioritize recruiting efforts
Ensure all recruiting practices follow company policies and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
2+ years of recruiting, healthcare recruiting, staffing, sales, or field-based outreach experience
Experience recruiting nurses, clinicians, or healthcare workers strongly preferred
Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
Comfortable working independently in the field and meeting daily outreach goals
Ability to travel throughout NYC and surrounding counties
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple candidates at once
Proficient with applicant tracking systems (Apploi), HRIS, and EMR Systems (KanTime).
Bilingual (Spanish, Creole, or other languages) is a plus
Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation
Compensation: Hourly + Performance Incentives
