Gracy Woods II Living Center is seeking a highly motivated and personable Activity Director to enrich the lives of our resident's quality of life. The candidate should have the following characteristics and or experience.
Activity Director Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly newsletter for distribution to all residents and families.
- Develop and pursues a varied program of meaningful activities and events that is balanced in the physical, spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, vocational and cognitive elements.
- Meets and greets each person upon move-in to welcome them and their family and friends to the facility.
- Arranges for community groups to come into the Facility such as pet therapy, schools, churches and entertainers.
- Decorates the common areas for special events and holidays.
- Conducts individual and group interactions.
- Maintains inventory of supplies and manages budget.
- Attends weekly Care Plan Meetings
- Documents on Resident participation
- Activity Director Job Requirements:
- Certification as required by State regulations for activities.
- Pass a criminal background check.
- Compassionate spirit and enthusiasm for working with the elderly.
- Experience working with seniors. Ability to work flexible days between the hours of 8:30am and 5:30pm and weekends on occasion.
- Proficient in written and verbal English.
- Computer experience and ability to-use or learn to use software programs.
- MDS experience preferred but not required.
