Job Summary
Evergreen Healthcare Group is currently seeking a full-time Registered Dietitian at Golden Merced Care Center in Merced, California. This role is responsible for planning, managing, and implementing dietary service activities so residents receive safe, adequate, and individualized nutrition. Compensation is up to $115,000 annually, based on experience.
Essential Functions

Complete comprehensive nutritional assessments and individualized care plans within regulatory time frames

Make recommendations to Nursing Services, Dietary Services, and physicians regarding resident care

Monitor, evaluate, and document nutrition-related care in medical records

Attend Nutrition Hydration Skin Committee meetings

Review and approve menus

Participate in facility meetings and committees as appointed

Complete evaluation tools (e.g., Dietary Services Comprehensive Summary, CQI tools)

Identify problems and implement solutions to support nutritional health and food service operations

Develop and implement efficient processes to maximize resident nutritional well-being

Ensure compliance with state/federal regulations and Center policies

Provide in-services and staff training as required

Serve as a preceptor for Dietary Manager trainees when needed

Support onboarding and training of new Dietary Services Managers
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

Ability to travel/attend professional development as needed

Strong interpersonal skills with residents, families, staff, and community members

Interest in long-term care and working with the elderly

Ability to taste and assess food quality

Must meet applicable health requirements
Education, Licensure, and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or Food Service Administration (or as required by state regulations)

Completion of a Dietetic Internship or equivalent

Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)

State licensure or certification (as required by regulations)

Long-term care or food service supervisory experience preferred
