Sodexo is seeking a strong, dynamic Environmental Services Manager 2 for healthcare in Philadelphia, PA. Hahnemann Universtiy Hospital is a blue chip account in center city. This union account is a 400 bed, acute care teaching hospital, with several buildings in a downtown setting. Full range of services including heart, cancer, obstetrics, general medical surgical, and an emergency department. This is a third shift (10:00pm start) position covering 1.4M square feet with primary oversight of Operating Room, Emergency Dept, and first impression area cleaning to ensure client satisfaction. The shift will also cover alternate weekends with some holidays required.
The successful manager will be responsible for overseeing a team of 30 employees. Will manage training, compliance, TRAKKAR, FOSS, CARES, SHINE, and our other Sodexo programs. Occasional weekends when projects arise. Overall, will provide leadership and insight through our Sodexo programs while partnering with the Sodexo vendor that will provide the EVS support.
Candidates should have management experience in Environmental Services, Housekeeping and/or Custodial Services, excellent customer service skills. Individuals from the hotel industry would meet this skill set. Must have proven ability in:
- Positive interaction with clients
- Experience with Joint Commission
- Subject Matter Expert in TRAKKAR, THROUGHPUT and our ES UOS
- Follow up and communication
- Handling multiple priorities
- Work with minimal supervision

Provides management oversight for Environmental Services non-exempt level staff (client and/or Sodexo employees) in the delivery of Sodexo Environmental Service Programs. Ensures Sodexo Operating Standards for Environmental Service are in place as required to consistently meet all company, client, and regulatory requirements. Responsible for non-exempt work force planning through effective scheduling, development of daily work flow assignments, training and development, and monitoring for compliance to the plan.
Key Duties-Establishes a safe work environment for clients, customers and staff by ensuring equipment safety and compliance with Sodexho safety and loss prevention programs and by providing safety-related training and equipment inventory maintenance.
-Provide leadership and direction to non-exempt employees-Coordinate/conduct employee training-Administer Human Resource processes (hiring, performance reviews, constructive counseling, prepare work schedules, payroll, etc.)-Interact with outside vendors-Ensure Sodexo Operating Standards for Environmental Service are in place and consistently met.-Develop/implement action plans for improvement in compliance with Sodexo Operating Standards as identified. -Reviews and maintains assigned areas of the Sodexo/Client budget commitments
