Location: US:WI:MILWAUKEE at our FROEDTERT HOSPITAL facility. 

 

FTE: 0.001000

 

*1.0 FTE is Full-Time any position less than 1.0 FTE is Part-Time and .001 FTE is Optional Part-Time*

 

*Positions with an "FTE" (full time equivalency) of  .8 - 1.0  are eligible for full-time medical dental and vision benefits.  Positions with an "FTE" of  .5 - .799  are eligible for part-time pro-rated medical dental and vision benefits*

 

Shift: Shift 1  

On Call - Over night Weekend call  Occasional First Shift Cast Room Coverage 

PRN - One or Two days shifts per week in clinic: 8am - 5 pm every third weekend ON-CALL 24/48 hours  

 

Summary:
Responsible for application and removal of casts braces and traction for orthopaedic patients under the direction/supervision of the Orthopaedic physicians and Patient Care Director. Performs a variety of direct and indirect patient care duties as assigned commensurate with education. Establishes and maintains a par level of Orthopaedic supplies within the Orthopaedic unit. Other duties as assigned.

 

Responsibilities:
2 years related experience in an acute care setting or 1 year experience as an Orthopedic Technician is required. High School diploma or equivalent is required. American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within three months of hire.
