Location: US:WI:WEST BEND at our CP-WEST BEND HEALTH CENTER facility.
*1.0 FTE is Full-Time any position less than 1.0 FTE is Part-Time and .001 FTE is Optional Part-Time*
*Positions with an "FTE" (full time equivalency) of .875 - 1.0 are eligible for full-time medical dental and vision benefits. Positions with an "FTE" of .5 - .874 are eligible for part-time pro-rated medical dental and vision benefits*
Shift: Shift 1
1.0 FTE/ Mon- Friday hours7:30 am-5pm occasional evening until 8pm and occasional Saturday 8a-12p
Primary zone staffing is West Bend region flexibility to cover Germantown and possibly Mequon clinics preferred. Hours are variable mostly day clinic hours with flexibility to work an evening to 7/8pm during the business week. Minimal Saturday hours flexibility/availability is desired.
Provide primary health care services to patient under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or provider. Assist with various procedures. Assure that provider’s patient schedule flows smoothly and efficiently. Other duties as assigned.
A Medical Assistant (MA) and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a healthcare professional and an essential member of the patient-centered healthcare team. This individual is responsible for pre-visit planning standard rooming responsibilities assisting with procedures discharge instructions and other duties as assigned. The MA/LPN is instrumental in helping the patient feel at ease while collaborating with the provider throughout the patient's visit. The MA/LPN may be required to cross train and float as needed to maintain optimal clinic operations. Other duties as assigned based on their licensure.
• One to two years of clinical experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
• Individuals must meet one (1) of the following combinations of education and experience:
o A graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Medical Assistant Program (Associate Diploma or Certificate) or
o A graduate of a non CAAHEP or ABHES Medical Assistant program (Associate diploma or Certificate) or Military Medic/Corpsman training. In addition to education three (3) years of formal on the job Medical Assistant experience required or
o Currently posses and are in good standing with at least one of the following credentials
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from AAMA
• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from AMT
• Assessment -Based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE)
• Certification through the AAMA and/or an equal certification board or certification is preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing is required.
• Current LPN licensure by the state of Wisconsin Department of Regulation and Licensing.
