About the Job
Must have fully developed and polished anchoring and reporting skills - no beginners. Must be fully engaged on the air and behind the scenes. News readers need not apply. Must be capable of covering a wide variety of stories in the field under tight deadlines. Must have strong ability to pursue, produce and present stories live and on tape using production techniques and writing styles that truly stand out. Must have excellent live shot abilities as well as the ability to ad lib effectively. Proven, enterprising and ongoing social media proficiency and engagement required. Must be a leader in the newsroom who participates in editorial decisions as well as show production. Involvement in station-sponsored community events will be required.
Bachelor's degree required with an emphasis in journalism preferred. Minimum 4 years' experience anchoring and reporting required. Proficiency with newsroom computers and related software required. Must be able to obtain an Arizona driver's license & provide a Motor Vehicle Report and drive a vehicle. Candidates must submit resume, cover letter, salary requirements and a link to recent work.
