FlexStaff is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to work for one of our clients, a nonprofit agency providing comprehensive health, social wellness, and housing services for vulnerable, low-income, or disabled populations, with their mobile team (ACT) in Queens, NY.

This is a permanent, full-time job offering benefits.

Requirements:

  • Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse by the New York State Education Department. 
  • Valid and clean NY State driver license. 

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 35 hours per week.

In this role you would be responsible for providing management and administration of medications, in conjunction with the psychiatrist, as a member of a mobile, multidisciplinary treatment team for persons with severe mental illness and forensic involvement. 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments, including mental status evaluations. 

  • Assess and monitor physical health needs, making appropriate referrals to community physicians. 

  • Coordinate medication management and administration in conjunction with a psychiatrist. 

  • Participate actively as a member of an interdisciplinary team, delivering integrated, personalized treatment, rehabilitation, and support services. 

  • Provide the majority of services in community settings, including participation in a rotating 24-hour crisis coverage and response system. 

  • Ensure full compliance with agency policies, including the Compliance Plan and False Claims Policy, and all relevant federal, state, and local regulations. 

  • Proficiently utilize all agency-specific IT applications relevant to the role. 

  • Maintain current knowledge of best practices and developments within the field. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned to support program objectives.
