The FIS 2019 Corporate Summer Internship:
As a 2019 Corporate Summer Intern with FIS, you will benefit from on the job training and mentoringalong with participation in team projects, social events,charity work, and professional development seminars. This is a full time (40hrs/week) paid internship that will begin on June 3, 2019 and conclude on August 9, 2019.
Interns will receive the opportunity to build professional relationships and enhance their interpersonal skills. As an intern, you should expect to own the following roles and responsibilities: Contribute individually and/or as a team member to support a designated functional area, analyze business processes, and work towards goals and objectives assigned byan experienced manager. Interns will also interact with and support business partners and participate in projects that directly impact business value.

General Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provides application software development services or technical support typically in a defined project.
- Develops program logic for new applications or analyzes and modifies logic in existing applications.
- Codes, tests, debugs, documents, implements and maintains software applications.
- Maintains, tests and integrates application components.
- Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code
- Ensures system improvements are successfully implemented.
- Demonstrates an understanding of FIS systems and the financial services industry.
- Analyzes requirements and translates business requirements into product designs.
- Writes technical specifications and other forms of documentation.
- Suggests technical alternatives and improves/streamlines processes and systems.
- Completes project assignments and special projects commensurate with job expectations.
- Conducts planning, analysis and forecasting activities to plan projects and tasks.
- Other related duties assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
- Must be currently enrolled at an accredited university pursuing a degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field of study
- Knowledge/familiarity with programming languages (C++, C Sharp, Java)
- Displays good written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of MS Office
- Ability to work in one of FIS' strategic locations for the duration of the internship
- GPA requirement of 3.0 or higher
- Additional skills, knowledge, and experience may be required based on the type of functions the incumbent will perform.
