The Derivatives Utility business
The Derivatives Utility provides customers with derivatives clearing operations and technology services for trade clearing, trade lifecycle management, margin processing, reconciliation, and data management. The Derivatives Utility covers more than 135 cleared derivative markets in more than 35 countries.
FIS' Derivatives Utility was designed to help global capital markets firms better adapt to market challenges by enabling market participants, including futures commission merchants (FCMs), to achieve greater efficiencies by leveraging economies of scale in middle- and back-office processing and technology.
We are offering a recent graduate an exciting opportunity to join our Derivatives Utility as a technology analyst in the platform management function, and responsible for supporting large firmwide initiatives covering audit, risk, compliance, regulatory across the wider Post trade Services business group.
• Working with the principal contact for the above initiatives with a view to understand the breadth and scope of what is covered and why.
• Assisting with the definition and implementation of efficiencies in regard to current processes, a number of these are currently very manual.
• Interacting with the Risk, Information Security, Infrastructure, to name but a few, teams in order gain an appreciation of how the diverse aspects of this function piece together.
• Have exposure to other internal governance initiatives such as access reviews and asset inventory for a rounded view of the remaining aspects of the function.
• Communicating accurate status updates at agreed intervals including milestone updates
