About the team

This is a very exciting time for the FIS Merchant business team as we have completed development of our very own Merchant Processing System (MPS) - with complete functionality, flexibility, and infrastructure - to compete with the biggest processors and aggressively grow our merchant acquiring business.
What you will be doing

Will work closely with multiple Merchant business teams (client services, operations, boarding, deployment) to support multifaceted merchant conversions to FIS MPS front end platform, as well as business support for increased sales volume from new partner introductions.
General Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Responds to product inquiries via telephone or in written internet-based email or chat sessions.
  • Documents client information and recurring technical issues to support product quality programs and product development
  • Work with other leaders internally to plan, and execute on existing and new product / service plans
  • Supports internal leaders in answering/ researching product /service functionality questions
  • Supports the conversion of product ideas/ concepts into viable business cases and strategy statements with clear and achievable objectives
What is this position?

**This position is slated to start June 3rd- August 9th, 2019**
As a 2019 Corporate Summer Intern with FIS, you will benefit from on the job training and mentoring along with participation in team projects, social events, charity work, and professional development seminars. This is a full time (40hrs/week) paid internship that will begin on June 3, 2019 and conclude on August 9, 2019.
Interns will receive the opportunity to build professional relationships and enhance their interpersonal skills. As an intern, you should expect to own the following roles and responsibilities: Contribute individually and/or as a team member to support a designated functional area, analyze business processes, and work towards goals and objectives assigned by an experienced manager. Interns will also interact with and support business partners and participate in projects that directly impact business value.
What you bring:
  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science, Business, Product Management or Communications from an accredited university
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • You are a rising Senior graduating December 2019 through May 2020
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, including a good working knowledge of MS Office
  • Solid problem-solving skills
