Position Responsibilities/Requirements
Actuarial Analyst - Entry Level Role
The Actuarial Professional Services team is involved in supporting clients to make the best use of FIS Prophet, an actuarial modeling software, including performing model reviews and delivering optimization reports based on client models and the implementation of the actuarial code provided with Prophet calculation templates (libraries). We help design, structure and develop code during client projects as required and provide formal training to clients with a focus on the advanced coding techniques. The consultancy work includes opportunities to travel to various states across the US to provide local onsite client assistance, at least for short periods.
FIS Prophet is looking for an innovative entry level analyst to join this team of experts and help drive quality and value add to our client's experience with Prophet.
Qualities for a Successful Candidate:
  • Ideally have an actuarial or mathematical background from college and have an interest in IT systems and finance, and possess strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Full training on Prophet will be provided and will quickly become experts in using and developing Prophet models.
  • Build an understanding of insurance products and regulatory developments affecting the insurance industry worldwide
  • Previous actuarial internship and/or completion of the actuarial exam with passing grade

Additionally, successful candidates will become a member of the US actuarial profession (SoA) and will be supported towards qualification as an Actuary. Support may include but is not limited to study support, attendance at tutorials and entry to examinations.
