Senior Identity & Access Management (IAM) Engineer, Cloud Services (Open to remote)

 

Summary

The Senior Identity & Access Management Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and administration of identity management processes and tools within Azure AD, AWS IAM, and Google Cloud Platform. Working under the guidelines, policies, and standards established by the Information Security Office, this role ensures the proper configuration, administration, and support of the enterprise identity tools and associated systems. This role will also deliver services that will form the backbone for a Center of Excellence covering Azure AD/AWS/GCP.

 

Job Description

Essential Functions

·        IAM platform implementation and administration (AzureAD/AWS/GCP), provides advice to operational support personnel as well as a variety of stakeholders inside and outside of the IAM Engineering team

·        Identifies IAM problems, researches solution options, develops plans, conducts testing, and implements solutions for defined business processes

·        Manages IAM roles, groups, owners, permissions, mappings, configurations, and conditional access policies

·        Creates technical documentation and manages document lifecycle to support IAM Center of Excellence development and management

·        Resolves provisioning/deprovisioning problems to obtain proper operations across all platforms

·        Provide excellent customer service to all areas of the company; provide department interface with various teams within First American in support of information security initiatives. Maintain strict confidentiality in all matters dealing with information security.

·        Required to perform duties outside of normal work hours based on business needs

Supervision Received or Extended

·        No responsibility for the supervision of others. Works under general supervision of managers and senior leadership

·        Actively contributes to drive results for the IAM team and works towards achieving team goals and objectives. Uses subject matter expertise and collaborates with team members to drive successful outcomes.


Knowledge and Skills/Technology Used

·        Strong analysis and problem-solving skills with two or more years in an IAM department

·        Excellent organizational and follow-through skills, sound judgment and strong independent decision-making skills; ability to effectively perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

·        Extensive knowledge of Azure, AWS, and GCP services in the context of Identity & Access Management

·        Understanding of project management methodologies

·        Ability to work independently

·        Strong verbal and written communication skills

·        Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization


Typical Education

·        Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Information Technology, Information Security, Computer Science, or Business -or- equivalent work experience

·        Industry certifications preferred but not required


Typical Range of Experience

·        Minimum of 5 years in experience performing user administration in a Windows Active Directory environment

·        Minimum of 4 years of experience with identity & access management in Azure/AWS/GCP environments

·        Minimum of 4 years of experience in implementing information security technologies and/or processes.

·        General knowledge and understanding of underlying components and technologies of an IAM platform such as proxies, application servers, web protocols, XML and HTTP, and networking principles

·        Experience using administrative tools and working knowledge of MS Active Directory, Exchange, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP

·        Experience in Exchange administration; creating and maintaining mailboxes, distribution lists, contacts, and public folders

·        Experience performing user administration tasks for various in-house and 3rd party applications
