JOB SUMMARY:
The Loss Prevention & EHS Specialist plays a critical role in overseeing physical security, shrink reduction programs and established safety standards within their location. Collaborates with operations and support teams to mitigate inventory shrinkage and protect bottom line profits as well as ensuring safety guidelines are adhered to; fostering a strong safety culture throughout the location. The Specialist must demonstrate an ability to cultivate trust and confidence while influencing change through comprehensive risk assessments, shrink data analysis and safety assessments.

GENERAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Loss Prevention
?Foster a loss prevention rich environment that inspires a culture of commitment to safety and shrink reduction
?Influence, guide and make recommendations on loss prevention programs that do not hinder operations.
?Assist loss prevention site leader on daily, weekly and monthly LP metrics and reports.
?Identify and evaluate areas that are causing or could lead to shrink or negatively impact the safety culture
?Manage security staff and assist in maintenance and coordination of physical security programs
?Identify, promote and implement physical security best practices
?Verify inventory integrity within location
?Recommend and implement loss prevention programs and processes as needed
?Utilize CCTV and exception reports to mitigate shrink

Environmental, Health & Safety
-Monitor safety standards in accordance with all applicable Local, State and Federal regulations, including (OSHA, DOT and EPA).
-Coordinate safety related activities, including the tracking and reporting of safety performance to management.
-Provide and conduct training through safety materials, coaching and mentoring as directed.
-Inspect tools, machines and equipment for accident prevention, including required safety devices and procedures.
-Observe workers and evaluate job activities to determine use of prescribed safety equipment and procedures.
-Identify and evaluate detrimental working conditions and make adjustments to protect workers.
-Inspect specified areas for fire prevention equipment and other safety and first aid supplies.
-Investigate causes of accidents to identify preventative safety measures for incorporation into the safety program.
-Maintain programs and record keeping systems that track and evaluate personnel injuries.
-Conduct audits, accident investigations, and site inspections of operational procedures, facility design, equipment, and materials.
-Demonstrate a commitment to the quality improvement process and the philosophy of continuous improvement.
-Identify and respond actively and with sensitivity to the needs of athletes following incidents
-Participate as a team player in all phases of the organization.
-Open and responsive to change.
-Professionally provide athletes and leaders with knowledgeable, courteous, and prompt service.
-Participate in departmental projects across the network
-Collaborate with Loss Prevention & Safety Manger with Operations to analyze and implement correction actions.
-Support orientation and training of new hires and athletes in new roles

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
?High school diploma required, associate's or bachelor's degree related to role preferred
?2 years applicable experience in Loss Prevention and/or EHS
?Wicklander-Zulwaski certification preferred
?LPQ/LPC preferred

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
?Industrial Environmental Health and Safety experience is preferred, but not required
?Possess a strong ability to self-manage and proactively adjust focuses when needed
?Ability to handle crisis situations
?Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort interfacing with site leaders.
?Ability to work flexible hours (including weekends and holidays)
?Proficient with Microsoft products
?Ability to handle confidential information
?Industrial Environmental Health and Safety experience is preferred, but not required
?Ability to stand 8 to 10 hours per day
?Ability to lift up to 25lbs frequently
?Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision
?Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
?Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
?Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and to the general public.
?Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
?Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions furnished in written, oral, mathematical, or diagram
?Ability to acquire or have OSHA 30-hour certification.
?Working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and email software.
?Working knowledge of OSHA EPA and DOT regulatory requirements.
