Traveler Health & Safety Specialist

Please come and join us in one of Expedia's most multifaceted client-facing teams. You'll be providing some of the most meaningful business to client customer service that we offer to lodgings in this role, and we want you to be part of this.

You will work with the Manager on the implementation and delivery of the Expedia Safety Management System (SMS) in line with the Expedia H&S Program and Policy across global product lines.

What you’ll do:

  • As part of our Health & Safety Team, you will contribute to the coordination of our Audit Program, including collaborating with lodging and activities partners to schedule audit appointments and follow-up on results

  • You will carry out health & safety investigations and follow-ups based on any identified safety deficiencies and will be able to creatively find solutions with external and internal partners

  • You will work with internal and external collaborators to maintain, and risk assess lodging gas safety data

  • You will deliver management information to the Manager’s requirements, including in-depth analysis of existing H&S data, regular performance against target metrics, and risk calculation criteria for selection of key product for assessment

  • Team up with outsource vendors to ensure delivery of agreed SLAs, including targeted auditing program and key system development projects, within set timelines

  • You will accurately input data into our tools, including CRM, and help ensure data maintenance and integrity

Who you are:

  • You have worked in Health & Safety in a travel operations environment (2 years)

  • You have experience using CRM tools with business partners or end customers

  • You speak one or more language(s) other than English

  • You have intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel (pivot table/VLookup level/VBA macros)

  • You have led investigations in a safety, security, legal operations environment

  • You have previous experience in customer service and a flair for handling business relationships

  • You are an autonomous, enthusiastic and capable administrator, with accurate data entry skills and good organizational ability

  • You are excited about learning new technical skills in a busy and constantly evolving environment

  • You have strong communication skills (both written and oral, phone and face to face)

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in related field; or equivalent related professional experience

  • Understanding of technology with focus on e-commerce, ability to learn quickly

  • You are curious about our industry and what we do
