Position Overview:
The Director of Nursing is responsible for overseeing all nursing services, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining clinical excellence, and fostering a positive, supportive work environment for staff and residents.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead, mentor, and supervise nursing staff across all shifts

Ensure compliance with state, federal, and survey requirements

Maintain high standards of resident care and clinical outcomes

Oversee staffing, scheduling, and clinical policies

Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members and administration

Prepare for and manage state surveys and audits

Implement quality improvement initiatives and infection control programs

Promote staff development, retention, and accountability
Qualifications:

Current RN license in good standing

Previous DON or ADON experience in a skilled nursing facility required

Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations

Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills

Survey-ready mindset with successful survey history preferred
