Audit
Hang Seng's Audit function provides independent, objective assurance to management and the Audit Committee over the risk management, governance and controls framework, including financial controls to add value and to improve operations through process and control enhancement recommendations. Our Audit function accomplishes its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to the evaluation and improvement of the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes and thereby helps the Bank to achieve its objectives within the stated risk appetite and in accordance with the Bank's values and standards.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our department as Senior Regulatory Compliance and Financial Crime Risk Audit Manager.

Principal responsibilities:
- Contribute to risk assessment and design risk-based audit plan for regulatory compliance and financial crime risk;
- Assess if audit plan remains relevant throughout the year and propose plan changes as appropriate;
- Effectively manage the cost of assigned audits and take measures to achieve optimal productivity and cost savings;
- Take responsibility for delivering high quality audits;
- Provide clear guidance, detailed review and supervision to colleagues in delivering audit notifications, audit planning memos, process flow charts, risk and control matrixes, and agreeing issues and action plans with management;
- Provide sound business and technical input and challenge to audit work;
- Support adherence to the audit methodology in all areas;
- Take the lead in presenting draft audit reports to tollgate and report approvers;
- Monitor the implementation of issue remediation plans and escalate audit findings that remain unresolved;
- Adopt an anticipatory approach to risk assessment through stakeholder engagement and monitor the external environment to improve audit planning;
- Maintain effective working relationships with management, business and function units, regulators and external reviewers;
- Demonstrate strong leadership and ability to motivate, guide and develop team members and share knowledge to increase proficiency within the internal audit department; and
- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Hang Seng values.
- A professional in regulatory compliance and financial crime risk and control, holding a university degree and recognised audit qualification. We are also open to professionals who have gained relevant experience in compliance, risk management and enforcement roles;
- Sound knowledge of the finance industry, regulatory environment, fraud and financial crime threats;
- Open minded, attentive to details, and able to apply facts and knowledge to draw best possible conclusions;
- Proven stakeholder management skills including an ability to build effective relationships and challenge business, compliance and risk functions constructively at all levels;
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal;
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision and seek guidance when needed; and
- Confident to raise and escalate issues in a proactive, professional and timely manner.
