We are seeking an outstanding candidate to take on a Compliance Monitoring and Testing (M&T) Vice President role who will be primarily responsible for managing FCC related reviews. Specifically, the candidate is required to:
- Lead and manage a team of FCC professionals to independently review financial crime topics across the client life-cycle in Wealth Management and Investment Banking divisions such as periodic client reviews, client onboarding, change in circumstances
- Understand various APAC rules and regulations relating to financial crime and their impact on monitoring and testing activities; Demonstrate sound awareness of risks, industry developments, and best practice. Be a sounding board and leader in the sharing of relevant knowledge across the team
- Develop, maintain, and supervise the execution of the independent review plan including crafting approach for review, sampling, and allocating reviews to team members; Be the point of escalation for complex samples in the monitoring reviews
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across both the 1st and 2nd line
- Identify issues and present sustainable and commercial control improvements to mitigate risks, and agreeing these with stakeholders
- Connect with impact the results and conclusions, including drafting concise reports for review by Management, openly presenting conclusions with relevant team members
- Understand the fundamentals of risk and control, and mentor team members in developing their understanding
- Manage and mentor the career of junior staff to help develop and progress their careers
