The Manager of Base Maintenance is responsible for the overall management of processes and people for the safe compliant repair and modification of Delta and MRO aircraft performed in Base Maintenance.
The Manager of Base Maintenance is responsible for managing the budgeting, and financial reporting for their departments in Base Maintenance.
Provides leadership and directs the staff to ensure that the highest level of quality is maintained.
Support the operation by providing a safe and on time aircraft for our customers.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
- The Manager of Base Maintenance develops both strategic and tactical plans to provide consistency and repeatable processes.
- Implementation of improvement projects such as Theory of Constraints, LEAN, Six Sigma, and 5S.
- The Manager of Base Maintenance develops both strategic and tactical plans that create a safety conscious environment that results in employee safety and well-being.
- This position reports directly to the General Manager of Base Maintenance.
- A solid understanding of the Base Maintenance and MRO business model is required and previous supervisory experience in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
- Strong operational, technical and leadership skills is required.
- Must have excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and possess a fundamental understanding of Tech Ops computer systems.
- Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
- Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
- Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Maintenance-Management is preferred.
