Technical Operations is seeking a talented and motivated individual to lead the Engine Maintenance Repair and Support team. Engine Maintenance services and repairs over 15 engine model across 8 major product lines from GE, PW, RR, as well as Honeywell APUs. The GM, Repair and Support is responsible for the piece-part repair shops within Engine Maintenance and reports to the Director - Engine Maintenance. This position requires a high level of accountability for achieving strategic and operational results while also ensuring safe, compliant, high-quality, and efficient operations. The successful candidate must be able to:
- Develop strategies for the Engine Maintenance Repair and Support departments, ensuring parts availability to meet established engine production schedules and airline dispatch goals with optimized inventory investment levels.
- Lead the development and implementation of improvement projects through cost/benefit analysis, Theory of Constraints, LEAN, Six Sigma.
- Develop strategic plans for insourcing capabilities and capacities while maintaining a world class operating cost structure and efficient capital deployment.
- Demonstrate leadership experience in managing complex processes by providing a strategic direction, developing and achieving goals in support of Delta's operational needs and financial goals, both internally as well as for our MRO business.
- Successful interact daily with other TechOps business units, including Engineering, MRO Services, and Supply Chain.
- Drive tangible/measurable results while holding self and others accountable to stretch goals and high expectations. This person will provide leadership and development of staff on key areas such as operational demands, TAT, budget, PER, quality, and continuous improvement including PII/CII.
- Provide seamless coordination with other business units and support organizations to achieve Delta's corporate and divisional goals.
- Work effectively with all levels of the organization
- Develop highly effective cross-divisional relationships.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
- Engine maintenance, repair and support, or equivalent experience
- Minimum five years of leading teams and leading leaders
- Experience with LEAN, Six Sigma and Theory of Constraints
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to influence and drive change at all levels of the organization.
- Proficiency in written and oral communications; and able to produce concise, relevant, strategically driven documents and presentations for senior leaders.
- Ability to collaborate and to maintain quality relationships with key corporate constituents and division leaders, ability to influence and drive change at all levels of the organization

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
- Bachelor's degree in operations science/management, engineering, business administration or similar related fields
- 5+ years of MRO (or Owner/Operator) engine maintenance leadership experience
- 5+ years of engine piece part repair leadership
- A&P license
- Demonstrated success driving Lean, Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints projects and initiatives with positive operational results
- Demonstrated success in developing and managing metrics that drive positive operational outcomes
- Demonstrated success in operational data analytics
- Demonstrated success in leading large organizations (>500 people)
