PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Performs advanced technical/engineering problem solving in support of nuclear plant operations. Responsible for technical decisions. Possesses excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry codes and regulations.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
You will be a part of the Constellation Centralized Design Organization Mechanical Analytical Group; the ideal candidate will perform mechanical analyses, utilizing programs and hand calculations to support our Nuclear Fleet. As a part of the team you will also assist lesser experienced engineers in performing engineering assignments as well as exercise independent technical discretion when performing engineering tasks (i.e. perform walkdowns, collect data, perform analysis, interpret results, draw conclusions, and clearly present a recommendation to management).
- B. S. in Engineering or Licensed Professional Engineer and 5+ years' engineering experience
- 5 or more years' solid performance with last two in top half of Engr 2 band
- Demonstration of FLS competencies
Advanced technical degree or related coursework
Professional Engineer License or successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, and designation as an Engineer in Training
Excellent communication and writing skills
Self-starter who enjoys working independently as well as with a team
Experience in writing and providing support documentation for mechanical engineering calculations
Experience with mechanical analysis software such as Gothic, RELAP5, PipeFlo, ME-101 or PIPSYSW
Strong problem-solving skills
