Expected salary range of $216,000 to $240,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).
Primary Purpose of Position
Plan, direct and monitor activities of the Clean Energy Center (CEC) Maintenance Department that is responsible for performing maintenance efficiently, safely and in accordance with Company policies and State and Federal regulations. Establish policies to assure conformance with regulatory and insurance requirements, Quality guidelines and Constellation Nuclear policies. Works with CEC Senior Management team to develop and implement plans that support CEC and corporate business goals and objectives. Is an active member of the Maintenance functional area peer group, improving performance and consistency of the fleet's performance. Accountable for safe, effective and efficient implementation of the Work Management processes at the CEC. This includes the scheduling, detailed planning/coordination and execution of daily online maintenance. Oversight of CEC supply function is provided.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
- Participates in all aspects of CEC management to ensure safe and efficient operation of the CEC, including the development, implementation and performance monitoring of all corporate, CEC and divisional business goals and objectives.
- Direct the online work execution processes. Identify process problems and effect corrective actions to address those problems in a timely manner.
- Complete management of assigned staff (e.g. Employment, Development, Compensation, Performance Evaluation, assist in ensuring Training Certification compliance, etc.) to ensure that all maintenance activities are performed safely by trained workers in accordance with CEC procedures Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) regulations and the CEC schedule.
- Oversee Online Risk Management programs to assure safe CEC operations.
- Responsible for the planning and execution of all maintenance activities during on-line, forced outages, refuel outages and unplanned power reductions for both internal and external personnel, which includes administration and oversight of all maintenance contract personnel.
- Direct the Supply Management organization. Ensure that the organization effectively supports the On-Line and Outage functions while ensuring adequate inventory controls.
- Ensures optimum CEC performance and equipment reliability through effective development, implementation and monitoring of corrective, preventative and predictive programs and procedures that maximize the use of new technologies in coordination with the work planning process.
- Responsible for the planning and execution of all activities required to maintain the CEC structures and facilities in a safe and proper condition through effective use of both internal and external personnel, which includes administration and oversight of all maintenance contracts.
- Responsible for establishing/executing a continual assessment program that assures maintenance excellence in accordance with CEC, corporate and industry standards, practices and policies.
- Facilitates and manages functional area business plan improvement initiatives, projects, resource sharing opportunities, and staffing strategies through the peer group.
- Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy, including but not limited to emergency response, departmental coverage, call outs, and support of outage activities in positions outside the department.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear) or related science OR must meet equivalency as outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 (4.1.1.1 & 4.1.1.2) Standard, "Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants"
- 12 years overall experience, which includes 4 years power plant, 4 years nuclear power plant experience and 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience
- Must meet additional requirements as outlined in ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 4.2.3 Standard, "Selection, Qualification, and Training of Personnel for Nuclear Power Plants"
- Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties
Preferred Qualifications
- Successful completion of core supervisory/management training and development programs
- Current or prior Senior Reactor Operator License or Certification
