Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA), Home Care
You Will (Responsibilities)
Demonstrate competency in delivering comprehensive and personalized care to clients, including (but not limited to) the following
Assisting patients with the completion of activities of daily living (ADLs)
Monitoring vital signs - reporting findings to the appropriate nursing personnel
Perform client care as assigned, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to deliver care to clients both at home and in the community.
Maintain continuity of patient care by communicating information timely and effectively with all team members providing care to the patient.
Complete documentation in a timely and accurate fashion, and at the point of care, according to industry standards, conventions and guidelines
Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity of each client in the delivery of services to them.
Fully understand all aspects of clients' rights, including the right to be free of restraints and free of abuse.
Responsible for promptly reporting to the clinical office or administrative staff incidents or evidence of resident abuse or violation of residents' rights.
Assist in maintaining a safe, neat, and clean environment
Observe clients for changes in condition or behavior and promptly report these changes to appropriate licensed nursing personnel.
Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with the client, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
You Have (Qualifications)
Current and unencumbered license to practice as a Geriatric Nursing Assistant in the state of Maryland or eligible compact state licensure
6 months of clinical experience as a GNA
Current CPR certification
A current drivers license
A working and reliable vehicle with active automobile insurance
A willingness to complete additional training, as assigned
