Lead Teacher Responsibilities:

• Support creativity and learning for learners ages 3 months to 1 years old
• Implement a developmentally appropriate daily schedule, including incorporation of transitions and age-appropriate learning opportunities
• Provide supervision during activities
• Create age and developmentally appropriate developmental lesson plans
• Keep classroom neat and organized
• Provide parents with progress reports (via Learning Genie)
• Actively interact with children, demonstrating patience and warmth in all interactions
• Actively engage with families to ensure parents/caregivers are knowledgeable about the child’s program
• Lead instruction in small groups and 1:1 with support from an assistant teacher to differentiate instruction
• Work collaboratively with assistant teacher to promote child health and safety

• Understanding of Early Childhood Growth and Development

Requirements (Must have ONE):

• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education
• Currently enrolled in an Associate's Degree program for Early Childhood Education with 9 credits in E.C.E. completed (with plan to complete within 2 years)
• At least five years of teaching or child care experience
