Position Description: RN
BayCare Health System is currently seeking a Registered Nurse to join our outstanding and compassionate Cardiac Surgical team at St. Joseph’s Hospital. As part of the community since 1934, St. Joseph’s Hospital has been a partner for continued health and wellness. The Cardiac Surgical unit is a step-down unit that receives post-surgical open-heart patients once they are stable from their CVICU stay.
The RN responsibilities include:
- Independently caring for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards.
- Delegating appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
- Professional accountability and development.
- Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required
- RN (Registered Nurse) license is required
- ACLS, NIHSS, and PCCN Certification is preferred
- Associates degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma is required
- Bachelors degree in Nursing is preferred
- 6 months of RN experience is required.
