Position Description: RN - Charge Nurse - PACU
BayCare Health System is currently seeking a Registered Charge Nurse to join our outstanding and compassionate PACU team at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
The RN responsibilities include:
- Being proficient in the care of a patient population utilizing effective managerial skills.
- Acting as a professional role model for other members of the nursing team.
- Developing self and team members and sharing organizational information.
- Performing the role of preceptor and charge nurse.

- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification is required
- RN (Registered Nurse) license is required
- ACLS Certification if required by department
- RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification within 7 months of hire/promotion in lieu of education. Certification must be RN Professional, nationally recognized and applicable to the current primary area of practice on the approved Clinical Registered Nurse Certifications Grid.
- Nurse Specialty certification is preferred
- Bachelors degree in Nursing, BS Healthcare related field, or RN Professional Nurse Specialty Certification is required within 7 months of hire/promotion.

· 2 years of RN experience in acute care is required. At least one year of RN experience in PACU, emergency department, or critical care is preferred.
· 1 year of leadership experience is preferred
