BayCare is currently in search of our newest Acute Physical Therapist – Pool, who is passionate about providing outstanding customer service to our community around St. Joseph’s North. Location: St. Joseph’s North - Lutz, FL
Status: Pool (Non-Benefit Eligible)
Exempt: No
Shift Hours: Sundays 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM; weekdays as needed
Shift: Days
Weekend Work: Every Other
On Call: No
Physical Therapist (Pool) Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions to improve mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other therapists to coordinate care.
- Educate patients and families on exercises, safety, and post-discharge recommendations.
- Document all patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic medical record.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
Required: BLS (Basic Life Support)
Required: PT (Physical Therapy) License
OR PT (Physical Therapy) – Eligible to Obtain
OR PT (Physical Therapy) – Temporary, with licensure within 6 months
Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy
Preferred: 1 year of Physical Therapist experience
