BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking a Mental Health Technician II to join our outstanding and compassionate team at BayCare Behavioral Health- Community Recovery Center!
Mental Health Technician II Position Details:
- Facility: BayCare Behavioral Health- Community Recovery Center
- Location: New Port Richey, FL
- Status: Full time, Hourly
- Shift Hours: Hours Vary, 8 hour shifts
- Weekend Work: Occasional
- On Call: No
The Mental Health Technician II Responsibilities:
- Provides direct patient care to psychiatric inpatients under the direct Supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Provides ongoing monitoring and observation of patients to ensure safety and wellbeing.
- Promotes communication and therapeutic relationships with patients.
- Assists with physical care under the direction of an RN.
Required Certification/Licensures:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- CNA (Nursing Assistant) - preferred
- Patient Care Technician - preferred
Required Education:
- High School or Equivalent
- Associate's degree in related field - Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in related field- Preferred
Required Experience:
- 6 months – Psychology or Bachelor's degree in related field
