Role Overview

As a Histologist, you’ll play a key role in preparing tissue specimens for diagnosis, ensuring accuracy, quality, and compliance with all regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Process tissue from fixation to final slide, including special stains and techniques

• Maintain required files, records, and documentation for compliance

• Clean and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments

• Stock and manage laboratory supplies

• Use medical terminology and demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills

• Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

🧪Certification & Licensure

• Required: Histology Technician or Histology Technologist License 

• Preferred: ASCP certification

🎓Education

• Required: High School diploma or equivalent

• Preferred: Technical degree in Histotechnology or Associate’s in a related field

📊Experience

• Preferred: 1-2 years of laboratory experience
