Role Overview
As a Cytotechnologist Lead, you will:
- Perform cytotechnology testing
- Assist with cytology specimen preparation and fine needle aspiration collection
- Classify and evaluate specimens, referring to the pathologist as needed
- Maintain laboratory equipment, supplies, and instrumentation
- Coordinate scheduling and workflow
- Perform administrative and operational tasks as assigned
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Bachelor’s requirement may be waived if certified prior to 1985
Experience
Preferred:
- Three (3) years of experience in Cytotechnology
Licensure / Certification
Required:
- CT (Cytotechnologist) – State of Florida
Preferred:
- ASCP/SCT certification
