The Certified Athletic Trainer will be responsible for:
- Providing athletic training coverage for high school programs, events, and organizations as per contractual agreement with Pinellas County.
- Following both the Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics as set forth by the National Athletic Trainers Association and Florida Licensing Law.
- Being present at home athletic contests and practices and shall attend other post-season and home-hosted contests.
- Providing 1st aid and injury assessment/treatment/rehabilitation/reconditioning for student-athletes. The athletic trainer will also be responsible for making appropriate physician referral.
- Filing all necessary reports associated with athletic injuries and/or incidents.
- Supervising the clearance of injured athletes prior to and during the sport seasons.
- Maintaining a daily treatment log.
- Overseeing the ordering of supplies and equipment pertaining to the athletic training room and maintaining an up-to-date inventory. Provide the Athletic Director with an annual budget for supplies and equipment.
- Working in accordance with a weekly schedule to be determined by the Athletic Director. Weekly schedules will vary according to the athletic season.
- Creating a safe playing environment by monitoring and controlling environmental risks.
- Assisting in carrying out predetermined patient related activities in the physical therapy setting under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist or the Physical Therapy Assistant.

Requirements:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Athletic Trainer - License
- Athletic Trainer - Eligible to obtain
Education:
- Bachelors Athletic Training or Related Field
- Masters Athletic Training or Related Field preferred
