Senior HR Coordinator
Pleasant Holidays, one of the largest travel wholesalers in the United States specializing in vacation travel to the Hawaiian Islands, Caribbean, Central & South America, Europe, Mexico, Middle East, South Pacific (Australia, Cook Islands, Fiji, New Caledonia, New Zealand & Tahiti), Japan & Asia, the United States & Canada, and cruise vacations worldwide, is seeking a Sr. Human Resources Coordinator out of our Westlake Village, CA location.
The Sr. Human Resources Coordinator will work closely with the Corporate Director of Human Resources to perform and coordinate a variety of Human Resources functions, including heavy recruiting, onboarding, training, leave of absence administration, employee benefits and various other HR-related tasks.
HEAVY recruiting for multi-level positions. This will include multiple reservations call center training classes throughout the year.
Works closely with hiring managers to conduct internal/external recruiting campaigns including but not limited to advertising position, filtering resumes, conducting interviews
Leads new hire orientation to ensure onboarding process is complete and in compliance with company guidelines
Assist in conducting human resources related training programs
Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management
Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems
Ensure actions are processed and employee data is current and accurate within our system of record (e.g. Workday) and maintains proper employee files in accordance with policy and law.
Assist with managing of leaves of absence, including FMLA/CFRA/ADA/WC
Assist in creation of new employee job descriptions and maintain current job descriptions
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements
Research, process and provide reports as requested
Provide support to payroll and employee engagement initiatives
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Working knowledge of 2-3 years of experience in Human Resources, heavy recruiting, and working with leave laws is required
Experience with employee lifecycle (onboarding, transfers, performance cycles, leaves of absence and off boarding)
Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information
Excellent customer service provided to both internal and external clients
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects within tight deadlines and high level of confidentiality
Comfortable speaking in front of both large and small groups
HRIS/ATS system experience a plus; Sum Total, Workday, and Kronos knowledge is strongly preferred
