Provides fast, accurate and courteous telephone service, and receives and directs all persons who require information pertinent to the home. Resident and staff.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Provides assistance, guidance and direction to visitors, residents and staff. Records all long distance calls; Takes messages for those she/he is unable to reach. Responds to emergency calls following established protocols and reports any accidents and dangerous situations immediately. Learns and follows assigned safety, security and fire procedures. Maintains confidentiality of organizational and resident information. Fulfills role of Mail room clerk as needed. Receives telegrams, messages, flowers, newspapers and other items, notifies appropriate personnel, and arranges for delivery of items to residents and appropriate personnel. Accepts clothes from outside cleaners for pick-up and return. Keeps records of all visitors to home name of resident , room , etc. and detains, when possible, any resident leaving home who should not . Maintains friendly working atmosphere; Maintains professional attitude and maintains professional appearance. Provides assistance with resident care where applicable and assist other employees where needed. Performs other related duties as assigned.
