Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children with autism spectrum disorders and will be skilled in designing and implementing individualized therapy plans to enhance fine & gross motor skills, executive functioning and more. 
Responsibilities:
Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess abilities in children with autism. Develop accurate diagnoses and create tailored therapy plans.
Therapy Development: Design and implement individualized therapy programs based on assessment results and client needs. Use a range of evidence-based techniques and strategies to address specific communication challenges.
Family Collaboration: Work closely with families to educate them about their child’s therapy needs and provide guidance on home-based activities to reinforce therapy goals. Maintain open and supportive communication with parents and caregivers.
Progress Monitoring: Regularly evaluate and document each child’s progress toward therapy goals. Adjust therapy plans as needed based on ongoing assessments and feedback.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including speech therapists, behavioral therapists, and educators, to ensure a holistic approach to the child's development.
Professional Development: Stay current with the latest research and best practices in occupational therapy and autism spectrum disorders. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
Education: Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Licensure: Valid state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
Experience: Proven experience working with children with autism spectrum disorders. Experience in a clinical, school, or home-based setting is preferred.
Skills: Strong knowledge of speech and language development, autism spectrum disorders, and evidence-based therapeutic techniques. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
