Quarantine and Labeling Laboratory covers basically a 24 hour shift Monday through Friday; Rotating schedule on Saturday and Sunday.

Must be able to work any 7 ½ hour shift, 5 days a week. Must have flexibility to work a changing schedule. Days and nights and hours are subject to change.

Pay for this position is $17.41 per hour, plus applicable evening, night and weekend differentials.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

Responsible for blood and blood product quarantine, release and disposal in accordance with established guidelines and procedures. Also responsible for packing and shipment of tubes for testing.

EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING REQUIRED TO DO WORK:

  • High School graduate. College laboratory sciences courses preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience as Lab Assistant preferred.
  • Ability to follow directions (oral and written)
  • Ability to work in high productivity environment.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Attention to detail
  • Must meet physical demands of the position (including lifting and working with dry ice)
