Job summary
Ring is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead and deliver our highest priority programs across a globally-distributed software development team. You will work closely with our team to plan and coordinate the execution of complex business solutions, while simultaneously keeping the program team focused on meeting their commitments.

Technical Program Managers at Ring must be capable of sorting through many competing priorities, defining processes that improve execution, championing Engineering best practices, executing with agility, and succeeding in a complex and fast paced environment. A TPM must consider legacy products as well as managing and planning for near-term and future products. If that challenge excites you, then we’d like to talk to you.

A day in the life
· lead and/or participate in scrums and sprint planning
· lead program status meetings
· prepare weekly program status
· drive resolution of program blockers whether they are administrative or technical in nature
· write documents analyzing the pros and cons of different solutions, esp. technical solutions

About the team
Our team of TPMs manages the highest priority programs. Programs typically span firmware to back-end systems and the Ring applications.

Programs are typically run from inception, but sometimes critical programs that are struggling are assigned so that our team can get them back on track.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 7+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams
· Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
· 5+ years of technical program management experience
· Up to 10% travel may be requested to kick off programs and build relationships with remote teams.
· 2+ years of experience with collecting requirements, reviewing and help writing functional and test specifications, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule and deploy new features sets

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience implementing software systems that integrate mobile applications with back-end systems.
· Experience implementing software systems that integrate device communication and firmware with back-end systems.
· Excellent verbal and written communication.
