The Amazon Robotics (AR) Operations organization manufactures high-quality robotics and gets the right materials to the right place at the right time to enable our automated solutions. It’s an operation that works cross-functionally with teams across Amazon globally, and is driven by data and performance indicators. The Sr Ops New Production Introduction (NPI) Technical Program Manager (TPM) will be responsible for driving operations development programs within AR.

The role will serve as the main point of contact between product and program teams and operations, own cross-functional and cross-geographical communications, and strategic planning for manufacturing a new product from prototype to high volume, determine KPIs, and drive cost-reduction initiatives. In this position you will be responsible for scoping and delivering large end-to-end projects for manufacturing, supply chain and test, collecting business and systems requirements from internal and external customers, writing specifications, and driving project schedules from design to full production. As a Sr Ops NPI TPM, you will provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.

Responsibilities:
· Actively support and foster a culture of inclusion.
· Manage AR Operations program and strategic planning.
· Develop and manage integrated schedules and project plans.
· Work closely with supply chain and engineering teams across geographies to drive prototype and production material.
· Coordinate with design engineering to drive release of product design documents.
· Provide regular updates to senior leadership teams across multiple sites and functions.
· Coordinate the development of manufacturing tools, processes, and infrastructure.
· Facilitate successful internal and external Alpha and Beta testing.
· Drive development of program specific quality plans across multiple teams.
· Write business and operational planning documents for the NPI project teams.
· Create and execute integration plans to provide Manufacturing Operations services to new Amazon teams and/or new Amazon products.
· Identify and recommend improvements across the AR Operations department on behalf of NPI programs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s degree.
· 5+ years’ experience involving program management in a complex technology context, with manufacturing or supply chain experience.
· Experience working with engineering teams to define, scope, and prioritize product requirements to ensure operational and manufacturing success.
· Experience and proven skill in written and verbal business communications, including writing white papers, designing organizational communications, reporting metrics, generating useful management and control reports, and articulating business cases for executive audiences.
· Experience in manufacturing/operations/supply chain analysis, and/or process improvement (eg. Lean Six Sigma).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· MBA or advanced Engineering degree.
· Robotics, robotic manipulation, and/or product development experience.
· Commodity management or manufacturing engineering experience.
· Oracle ERP experience.
· Analytical approach to problem-solving.
· Ability to devise frameworks and mechanisms to resolve work streams and prioritize projects.
· Self-motivated and able to solve problems independently and in team settings.
· Willing to “roll up sleeves and do what needs to get done” to consistently deliver results.
· Ability to deliver multiple first-of-their-kind projects or programs with compressed schedules.
· Strong grasp of project management tools.
· Able to travel up to 10% when travel conditions permit.
· Has managed and/or worked effectively to influence large teams.
· Able to work well across functional groups and geographies/time zones, and successfully influence others to get things done.
