Job summary
Do you have a passion for understanding what delights customers? Are you excited about influencing the payment experience of millions of customers worldwide? The Payment Acceptance and Experience Marketing team is looking for an analytical and consumer-focused senior market researcher to join our team. This person will develop and execute research methodologies to surface consumer behavior that will help shape the direction and momentum of key customer facing programs. With an innate ability to humanize consumer research, this person will own multiple insight initiatives to help inform brand strategy, customer experience and marketing/advertising effectiveness. This role requires an individual with a passion for consumer behavior, excellent analytical abilities, and strong business acumen. This person will need to influence internal and external stakeholders, and use data to make key strategic business decisions that drive value for customers globally. The successful candidate will be comfortable with ambiguity, have strong attention to detail, and be motivated by a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.

Key job responsibilities
* Assess the industry and customer landscape and recommend product and marketing opportunities to win in new places across the customer lifecycle
* Track brand performance, attitude & usage, ad testing, digital and social feedback; quantify the impact from consumer-stated behavior on leading indicators of success
* Design questionnaires and discussion guides, interpret data, write reports, and communicate actionable recommendations across all levels of the organization
* Leverage internal and external resources to execute innovative research techniques, including use of qualitative and quantitative research
* Partner closely with stakeholders to drive the implementation of identified actions to improve the customer experience

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Statistics or related field
* 6+ years experience in marketing research, consumer research, data analytics, consulting, or related field
* 4+ years leading various marketing programs including customer segmentation, forecasting, product performance assessment, messaging testing, and consumer trends analysis
* Hands-on experience of planning and executing consumer research projects
* Familiarity with survey programming tools like Qualtrics
* Experience with analytical tools such as SPSS/R or other statistical package

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Master’s degree in Business Administration or related field
* Familiarity with survey programming tools like Qualtrics
* Academic and practical experience with a wide array of new product, sensory, brand, advertising and customer satisfaction research methodologies
* Experience in research panel management
* Strong analytic skills and experience in statistical modeling and analysis
