Program Manager - Amazon Product and Process Design System

About the Job

The Amazon Product & Process Design System (APDS) team creates a project management framework for teams developing and deploying technology across the global Amazon Fulfillment Network.


Responsibilities:

Support current Amazon Product & Process Design System customers and on-boarding new teams.


Understand customer requirements, partner with stakeholders to execute feature requests and reporting, and report on the monthly program health.

Guide teams throughout the Amazon Product & Process Design System

Project Life Cycle starting from project Intake, Phase gate reviews, execution and deployment.


Position includes travel up to 25%



BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or a Supply Chain/Operations discipline
* 7+ years of experience managing cross-functional projects and programs with tight deadline·
* 5+ years of experience leveraging Lean Six Sigma methodologies for continuous process improvement
* 3+ years of experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


· The ability to motivate others to meet challenges of an extremely deadline-driven environment where explosive growth is occurring while achieving impeccable quality.
· Proven leadership ability to facilitate, teach, and guide the application of continuous improvement methodology to project execution.
· Experience using scrum / agile methodologies
· Experience with end to end product delivery
· Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
· Experience overseeing roadmap strategy and definition
· Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and generate innovative solutions in an extremely fast-paced environment.
· Proven ability to network and earn trust with customers and stakeholders as well as building internal and external relationships
· Demonstrable experience in leading difficult negotiations and managing senior stakeholders.
· Proven ability to influence others, facilitate agreement among stakeholders to gain consensus
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience writing business review docs.
· Cross-organizational communication – comfortable communicating ideas and concerns clearly and persuasively, in both verbal and written forms
· Experience working with global teams
· Advanced degrees in Operations Management, Mathematics/Engineering, or an MBA with a quantitative focus
· Technical aptitude and familiarity with the design and working of complex systems
· Proven track record of complex and creative problem solving and the desire to create and build new processes
· Excellent business judgment, strong written and oral communication skills, and a practical, common sense approach to getting things done.
· Comfortable working on multiple programs at once
