If so, we want to discuss the Senior Analyst, Data Strategy position that we are looking to full in our Advanced Analytics department in Richmond, VA.

What will you be doing?

  • You will work cross functionally with different partners on defining data strategy and implementation of data management best practices for different domains like sales, marketplace, consumer and digital.
  • You will consult with internal clients to understand their business needs and develop high impact, outcome driven data access and visualization enabling solutions.
  • You will be designing data models for optimal performance, flexibility and scalability to meet a variety of business use vases.
  • You'll fuse technical knowledge with subject matter expertise to translate complex business questions into impactful solutions.
  • You will collaborate with other team members on Data Governance projects.
  • You'll work with key stakeholders to define and maintain robust data quality metrics and business metrics for these data sets to enable advanced data analytics.
  • You will serve as a critical thinking partner with teammates and share technical expertise.
  • You'll collaborate and maintain positive relationships with diverse partner groups in a rapidly changing environment, to prioritize and deliver solutions that are cost-efficient, timely and effective.

What does your background and experience look like?

  • You possess a Bachelors degree; preferably in Business, Analytics, Marketing or Applied Mathematics.
  • You have at least 3 years of relevant experience in the domain of data management and data engineering.
  • You have a good understanding of concepts like volume and share performance, category weighted distribution, customer profitability, customer lifetime value, etc.
  • You hold a strong working knowledge of programming languages like SQL, Python.
  • You have a good understanding of database platforms like Microsoft Azure (preferred), Teradata or Oracle.
  • You have a good understanding of project/program management methodologies like waterfall, agile.
  • You have a proven track record of developing creative methods to identify business opportunities.
  • You have excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate with technical and non-technical partners.
  • Limited domestic travel required.
