Want to develop and implement quantitative models to improve operating and manufacturing efficiency for a Fortune 200 Company with some of the most iconic brands? If you have a college degree with two plus years of experience in statistical modeling, data analytics and machine learning algorithms, we want to speak with you! We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Data Analyst to join our Modeling and Simulation team in Richmond, VA. In this role you will develop and implement quantitative predictive models to improve operating and manufacturing efficiency. You will participate in performing data analysis and generating reports to address business needs under the mentorship of a senior member of the team.

What you will be doing:


Lead cross-functional projects to perform descriptive and predictive analytics for improving manufacturing and supply chain processes across the business.
Work with engineering and IT teams in manufacturing operations to identify business questions and collect necessary data for analytics to recommend solutions.
Perform descriptive and predictive analytics to provide insights and foresight to support business decision making.
Apply statistical knowledge of data to prepare and analyze data according to the needs and objectives of the company.
Seek opportunities to evaluate and improve existing manufacturing processes, supply chain plans to reduce the costs of production, transportation, distribution, and warehousing.
Analyze model outputs and generate reports to provide recommendations to key partners. Effectively communicate and present results to the partners and senior management.

We want you to have:


A Graduate degree in engineering or a related science subject area with a minimum of 1 year of experience on data preparation, analytics and machine learning algorithms.
Or-A Bachelor's degree in the same fields with at least two years of related experience.
Programming skills in at least one programming language (C++/Python/Java), math programming engine (CPLEX/Gurobi), Statistical package (R/SAS), SQL.
Knowledge of mathematical modeling skills such as Linear Programming, Mixed Integer Programming, Heuristics.
Knowledge of modeling approaches such as Monte Carlo, Agent-based and Markov Chain.
Familiarity and experience with other analytical approaches such as machine learning algorithms.
Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
Familiarity with developing dashboards using visualization technologies such as Tableau and Power BI.
Ability to communicate effectively through oral presentations and written reports.
Experience with manufacturing process data and analytics is a plus
