Overview
Want to manage, craft and execute digital marketing and e-commerce work streams for a Fortune 200 Company with some of the most iconic brands? If you have a bachelors degree in marketing or related field, along with five plus year of relevant experience (digital marketing, e-commerce and/or advertising agency), we want to speak with you! We are currently looking for an Associate Manager, Digital Consumer Strategy to join our Digital & Marketing Services group in Richmond, VA, but are open to remote work arrangements for candidates willing to work Eastern Standard Time Zone hours.
What you will be doing:
- Consulting with Brand Management and Digital Marketing Services teams to understand current and future business needs related to digital marketing channels and developing plans within digital marketing ecosystem to meet operating company and enterprise goals.
- Analyzing existing digital marketing channels and capabilities to identify areas of opportunity, or to activate upon specific business initiatives.
- Consulting and executing on digital marketing work streams, primarily focused on current digital communication channels (i.e. SMS, Paid Media, etc.), and new marketing channels and technologies (i.e., social, OTT) based on business needs.
- Executing cross-functional digital marketing initiatives (may include pilots or broader executions, or improvements of existing products and platforms), inclusive of working with legal, finance, procurement, and IS partners to secure resources and alignment.
- Leading coordination of Adult Tobacco Consumers (ATC) 21+ name and lead generation strategies and initiatives.
- Ensuring potential ideas can be implemented in compliance with our current marketing practices.
- Specific accountabilities and mix of consulting/executing may vary by project/workstream. Illustrative examples include:
- Identifying OTT as an emerging channel with potential business impact. Working with legal and internal/external technology partners to develop a test plan for a particular brand. Working with brand team and analytics team to develop audience and communication strategy. Implementing OTT test, analyzing results and figuring out effectiveness of channel for use by other brands. Developing playbook (including guidelines and considerations) for future use.
- Understanding cookie-less future and external landscape that impact future pad media executions. Consult with brand and leadership on potential impact to current and future brand marketing initiatives. Develop and implement a mitigation plan with internal and external partners.
- Identifying current and future digital marketing and consumer trends. Working to deliver point of views or demonstrations to brand partners. Examples include:
- Conducting assessment of social media channel and figuring out appropriate use cases for Altria brands.
- Domestic and international consumer trends, adoption rate and what it could mean for our ATC21+.
- Working with SMS partner to implement services for new brand.
We want you to have:
- Bachelors Degree in marketing or relevant field.
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience. Advertising agency, digital marketing and e-commerce experience is highly desired.
- Strong analytic and critical thinking skills; ability to apply data analytics to problem solving.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Passion to learn with a demonstrated ability to learn and apply new concepts through on the job training and mentoring
- Ability to work in an evolving and changing "white space" environment
- Capable of critical thinking as well as successfully leading implementation of ideas through execution
- Creative in approach and a curious mentality
- High level of technical knowledge in the area of e-commerce and digital marketing (Adobe Marketing Suite, SMS, Paid Media, Magento)
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions
- The ability to encourage others with engaging written, oral, and presentation skills.
