Responsibilities

Summary

The Senior Director of SEM (search engine marketing) / SEO (search engine optimization) is responsible for the strategic direction and maintenance of platforms dedicated to and in support of digital channels as well as the online presence of Altice brands across search and discovery channels.

This leader will directly manage paid search budget allocations and organic search strategy. Work closely with various levels of the organization and external technology vendors to provide guidance on best-in-class platforms for ecommerce sales, digital care, marketing technology and data analytics.

Oversee the online persona of Altice brands within search engines and associated channels. Facilitate rapid development and prototyping, data capture and analytics functions, and research of new platforms while maintaining the reliability, scalability, and speed of existing systems. The ideal candidate possesses the ability to provide data driven insights and analysis from digital activities to drive sales channel growth, improve customer experience and increase efficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Direct internal and external teams managing online presence across search and discovery channels including but not limited to Google, Bing, Yahoo, map applications and any other business discovery platforms
  • Oversee paid search budget allotment as a percentage of media spend and allocation within search channels
  • Implement organizational strategies for paid search, organic search and digital technologies
  • Work with various levels of the organization and external partners to improve and maintain technology platforms
  • Evangelize the importance of organic search and best practices across technical, off site and content-based SEO strategies
  • Improve organizational responsiveness to detect, correct and prevent outages
  • Monitor and analyze digital platform performance from a technological perspective
  • Creation of business cases and accompanying financial/operational analysis to evaluate strategic projects and operational initiatives
  • Work proactively to identify new opportunities in the digital space
  • Guide the creation and automation of unified and easily accessible data for business analysis
  • Support and improve platform capabilities around A/B testing, QA and automated testing
  • Perform ad-hoc troubleshooting and analysis of digital issues
  • Work with leadership to drive business decisions based on analytics
  • Demonstrate diplomatic leadership and facilitate cooperative team efforts
  • Planning and executing the redesign of digital platforms and supporting applications
  • Oversight of key operational metrics around organic and paid search initiatives and spend
  • Consult on increasing reliability, scalability, and speed of digital platforms across various teams

 

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Marketing, Computer Science strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of experience providing data analysis
  • 10+ years SQL and query experience preferred
  • Understanding of internet-based technologies
  • Experience in operating and maintaining ecommerce websites
