AECOM is seeking a Water Resources Graduate Engineer to be based in Middleton, WI.


The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Apply proven experience to the planning and design of water resources projects including H&H modeling and floodplain mapping, stormwater quality modeling, flood control projects, stormwater treatment, site development, and transportation-related drainage design.

  • Provide engineering review of stormwater and erosion control plans.

  • Develop scopes of work and budgets for water resources projects or for water resources components of larger projects.

  • Prepare permit applications and pursue approval.

  • Develop and formulate cost-effective, technical solutions to client problems on assigned projects.

  • Prepare construction plans, specifications, construction cost estimates, correspondence, and reports.

  • Communicate and work with other project team members to provide quality service to clients to ensure that all documentation conforms to client/company standards.

  • Collaborate with other groups across AECOM offices.

  • Field work may be required on an occasional basis to support land surveyor and construction engineers.

Minimum Requirements
  • Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline

  • Driver’s license is required for this position, motor vehicle records may be requested

Preferred Qualifications
  • Capable of using a spreadsheet, word processing, and standard office software

  • Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as Civil 3D, MicroStation, ArcGIS, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE)

  • The ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

  • Positive attitude and strong initiative to learn and excel

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
