AECOM is seeking a Water Resources Graduate Engineer to be based in Middleton, WI.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Apply proven experience to the planning and design of water resources projects including H&H modeling and floodplain mapping, stormwater quality modeling, flood control projects, stormwater treatment, site development, and transportation-related drainage design.
Provide engineering review of stormwater and erosion control plans.
Develop scopes of work and budgets for water resources projects or for water resources components of larger projects.
Prepare permit applications and pursue approval.
Develop and formulate cost-effective, technical solutions to client problems on assigned projects.
Prepare construction plans, specifications, construction cost estimates, correspondence, and reports.
Communicate and work with other project team members to provide quality service to clients to ensure that all documentation conforms to client/company standards.
Collaborate with other groups across AECOM offices.
Field work may be required on an occasional basis to support land surveyor and construction engineers.
Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline
Driver’s license is required for this position, motor vehicle records may be requested
Capable of using a spreadsheet, word processing, and standard office software
Basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (examples include software such as Civil 3D, MicroStation, ArcGIS, Hydrologic/Hydraulic models
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE)
The ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
Positive attitude and strong initiative to learn and excel
Strong verbal and written communication skills
