AECOM is actively seeking a creative highly talented Wastewater Engineer for full-time employment based in our Markham office (or one of our other Greater Toronto Area offices - Mississauga or Whitby).
The appropriately qualified candidate will have a successful track record in the design of complex municipal wastewater facilities, with experience at industrial facilities considered an asset. You will work in a team environment to deliver advanced wastewater treatment projects to our client base. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Working successfully within a team environment and communicate effectively with other project team members and customers
- Support in the delivery of infrastructure to customers mostly within the municipal wastewater sector
- Provide detailed calculations for wastewater processes
- Prepare technical specifications and detailed designs
- Preparation of technical reports
- Provide construction support, site inspections and commissioning
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field
- 6+ years of experience in design, construction administration of municipal wastewater projects
- Registered Professional Engineer in a Canadian province or ability to become registered within 12 months
- Wastewater treatment design and optimization experience
- Consulting engineering, cost estimating and specification writing experience
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Master’s degree in water/wastewater treatment
- 10+ years of consulting engineering experience
- Motivated, team player, organized, excellent communication skills, with ability to work independently.
- Ability to take a project from inception through conceptual, preliminary and detailed designs and ultimately through to construction and commissioning
- Strong report writing capability
- Coordinating multidisciplinary teams
- Strong work ethic and the desire to excel
