Transportation Management Center (TMC) Technical Specialists are responsible for creating and updating monthly reports, road assistance reports, holiday reports, and specialized reports; providing quality control (QC) reviews of several reports; extracting and compiling various forms of data; using software to provide innovative solutions and reports.

Transportation Management Center (TMC) Technical Specialists are responsible for creating and updating monthly reports, road assistance reports, holiday reports, and specialized reports; providing quality control (QC) reviews of several reports; extracting and compiling various forms of data; using software to provide innovative solutions and reports.
Additional Job Description:
- Create descriptions of traffic events using event details, images, and data sources
- Review reports for consistency, impact, and core functionality
- Extensive use of Excel; importing data, writing formulas to extract/calculate specific values, exporting historical data to database
- Following template to create specialized event reports
- Use probe data analytics software to gather speed and travel time information
- Perform quality audits and data compilation for phone and event interactions
- Assist with Power BI dashboard development and maintenance
- Utilize data visualization techniques to communicate complex data to various audiences
- Assist with ad-hoc initiatives as assigned by the Project Management Team with pilot testing of innovative solutions
- QC check for Power BI dashboard calculations

Minimum Requirements
- BA/BS + 6 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background check
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time monitoring Intelligent Transportation Systems such CCTV camera displays, meters, law enforcement radio broadcasts, answering/responding to calls and communicating to other staff or partner agencies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Constantly operate a computer and other monitoring equipment
- Have one (1) or more years of experience with Power BI
- Have one (1) or more years of experience reporting and data visualization
- Have one (1) or more years of experience with data management and dashboards
- Good written communication skills
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
- Works under direct supervision and independently
