Currently we are hiring a Senior Project Manager to manage a broad range of exciting projects ranging from high tech data centers to sustainable recycling plants to airports and distribution centers.
Within this role you are responsible for the operational delivery of the project within budget and schedule and play a key role in all the stages of the project, from pre-feasibility to construction to handover.

Key duties include:
  • Ensure that the project is planned and structured for success
  • Act as seller-doer; full ultimate responsibility for the project on site / delivery
  • Set up project strategy including procurement routes, programme, construction logistics, design approach
  • Making sure there is a strong interaction with the Client to maintain seamless communications and client confidence throughout the project.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with the various parties involved within the project, designer, the Contractor(s), other stakeholders such as AECOM corporate, technical advisors, operator(s), users etc.
  • Monitoring financial performance of these projects in line with AECOM financial reporting, project reviews and other mandatory requirements.
  • Administering AECOM contracts and ensure compliance with company procedures.
  • Managing portfolio of clients with multiple projects.
  • Represent AECOM with potential clients, government agencies, potential and current partners and competitors
  • Advise on any trends and developments in the construction market (Benelux area)
  • Lead projects delivery including setting up teams and implementing AECOM projects standards and procedures
  • Support other AECOM Business Lines in Benelux or outside Benelux as required.
Minimum Requirements
  • Engineering Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in managing projects in construction.
  • Recognized construction or design qualification (or similar experience).
  • Fluent Dutch and English language skills.
  • A leading example in compliance and ethics.
  • HSSE Leadership.
  • Confident and capable individual with strong client focus.
  • Strong track record in delivering projects in a fast moving and challenging environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight dead-lines.
  • Good grasp of IT, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Valid driving licence.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Flexible to travel and able to divide time between home, office and client sites.
  • International experience is an asset
  • Experience with leading Design build / EPC / EPCM contracts is an asset
  • Management degree is a plus
  • German and/or French language skills is a plus
